How to Make Your Deck Public on Moxfield and Archidekt

If you landed here from an error message: your deck is almost certainly set to private. When you paste a deck link, we fetch the card list from the deck site the same way any logged-out visitor would — so if the site won't show the deck to the public, it won't show it to us either. Flipping one setting fixes it, and you don't have to leave it public afterwards.

Archidekt

1. Open your deck on Archidekt.
2. Click the Settings button — the gears icon in the bottom-left of the deck page.
3. In the Settings window, find the toggle labelled “Private (deck is only visible to you)” near the bottom-left, and switch it off. Blue means on (private); grey means off (public).
4. Click the green Save Changes button in the bottom-right.
5. Come back and paste your deck link again.

Archidekt's privacy setting is all-or-nothing — there is no “unlisted” middle ground, so the deck does need to be public for the import to work. You can switch it back to private as soon as your order is placed; we already have your card list at that point.

Moxfield

1. Open your deck on Moxfield and click Edit.
2. Find the Visibility setting in the deck's options. Moxfield offers three choices: Public, Unlisted, and Private.
3. Change it from Private to Public, then save the deck.
4. Come back and paste your deck link again.

Prefer not to be listed publicly? Try Unlisted first. Unlisted decks don't show up on your profile or in search, but they are reachable by direct link — which is how we fetch them — so the import normally works. If it still fails, switch to Public, run the import, and switch back.

Scryfall, Deckstats, and the rest

The same rule applies to every platform we import from — we can only read what a logged-out visitor can read.

• Scryfall. Scryfall decks are private by default and its deck API only answers to the deck's owner, so a Scryfall deck link often can't be imported at all. The reliable route is to export your list from Scryfall and paste the text instead — see below.
• Deckstats.Open the deck, use the deck's settings/visibility control, and set it so anyone with the link can view it.
• DeckCheck.Paste the deck's share link — the same /app/decklist/… or /app/deckview/… URL you'd send a friend. If the import still fails, open the deck's settings on DeckCheck and set its visibility to public, then paste the link again.
• MTGGoldfish, CubeCobra, TappedOut. These are public by default. If a link fails, it's usually a deleted deck or a typo in the URL rather than a privacy setting.

The shortcut that always works: paste the list

You never have to change a privacy setting at all. Every deck site has an export or copy option that gives you a plain text list like this:

Copy that, open our deck importer, switch to the Deck List tab, and paste it in. It prices and validates exactly the same way as a URL import, and your deck stays private the entire time.

If the deck is definitely public and the import still fails, the two usual causes are a deleted deck and a mistyped link — open your link in a private/incognito browser window to check. If it loads there but not here, send us the link and our team will take a look.
